Case Study:
Straw Bale House
R&R Design's Founder and Designer Ralph Crafts designed one of the only straw bale structures in the mid-Atlantic region. Straw bale construction is a technique dating back hundreds of years, but has recently reemerged as a "green" construction method. Ralph designed the straw bale house in Fauquier County, Virginia with several other environmentally friendly techniques. The home was featured in the Fauqier Times-Democrat: A House Made of Straw.
