Kitchen Flooring
Most people think that their only choices for kitchen flooring are tile, vinyl, or hardwood. Another, often superior, choice is cork. Cork is naturally antibacterial and antimicrobial, and it is a “green” product (i.e., no trees are cut down to harvest cork—the bark is carefully removed every 5 years or so). Cork is softer and warmer to the feet than any other surface, and if you drop a glass or a mug on cork, it will usually bounce, not break.
